In het Gandhi-ziekenhuis in de Iraanse hoofdstad Teheran woedt een grote brand. Op beelden op sociale media is te zien hoe een gigantische vlammenzee zich verspreidt over het ziekenhuis.
Volgens het Iraanse staatspersbureau IRNA ontstond de brand rond 19.00 uur lokale tijd (16.30 uur Nederlandse tijd). Patiënten worden geëvacueerd. Hulpdiensten in de hele stad zijn opgeroepen om naar het ziekenhuis te komen.
Over de oorzaak van de brand is nog niks bekend, ook is het nog niet duidelijk of er slachtoffers zijn gevallen.
