Amazon’s Life Is Strange series expands its cast. Kyle Gallner to fight monsters with Brie Larson in Skeletons. Steve confirmed to own and operate his own food truck in A Minecraft Sequel. They should have sent a poet… it’s Morning Spoilers!
Deadline reports Kyle Gallner will star alongside Brie Larson in Skeletons, “a modern take on the creature horror film told from the perspective of a young boy who slowly begins to discover that his beloved parents are hiding a disturbing secret about his mother’s true nature.” JT Mollner is attached to direct.
Deadline also reports Day Drinker, the “supernatural revenge thriller” starring Johnny Depp, Madelyn Cline, and Penélope Cruz, is now scheduled for a March 26, 2027 release date. Directed by Marc Webb, the story concerns “a private-yacht bartender (Cline) who “encounters a mysterious onboard guest (Depp). They soon find themselves entangled with a criminal figure (Cruz) and connected in ways no one saw coming.”
Speaking with Vanity Fair, screenwriter David Koepp revealed there were 42 drafts of the script to Disclosure Day, noting director Steven Spielberg was “more exacting than I’ve ever seen him because he knows he’s worked in this area before. He wants this one to be the best one.”

Finally, Variety reports Tom Cullen, Leisha Hailey, Raúl Castillo, and Owen Teague have joined the cast of Life Is Strange. Cullen will play Mark Jefferson, “Max’s teacher,” while Hailey has been cast as Joyce Price, “Chloe’s mother.” Castillo is set to play David Madsen, “Chloe’s stepfather,” opposite Teague as Frank Bowers, “a local drug dealer.”
